Its an unusual month for me when my Directv bill comes and I don't groan when another strange increase shows up. Unfortunately, this month has a $14 increase and the statement is at best, obtuse in explaining why.
I did get a call during the month where for "only $8 more a month you can get everything!" so I asked, 'Like what?" and got a list of things, mostly more HD movies so I said ok.
(While its not the topic here, I'll mention that I have not yet been able to figure out what extra channels I receive other than a bunch of Sports channels that I have no interest in, and that it certainly didn't add everything I didn't get before. Another posting.)
But that was for $8 a month. I intend to call and cancel it. So where did the $14 come from? And why cant they explain what they did in plain terms instead of charges, partial credits and such in undefined terms?
And heck, I will again mention that as far as I am concerned, they suckered me into the $8 upgrade and now I have to go through Customer Service hell to get it cancelled.
On top of this, my bill is now $132 a month for little more than junk. Time to start up that NetFlix again and cut way back on Directv. Or Maybe I'll just read more.
